Join Juarez PTO for our monthly meeting to discuss school updates, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. Meetings are the 1st Thursday of the month with the exception of January and June.

Juarez PTO welcomes all families to join our Parent Teacher Organization (PTO). Annual dues are only $20.00 and 100% of donations come right back to our students and school! Use the "Join Juarez PTO" button below to join or pay by credit card or Venmo at any PTO event. Cash or check can be dropped off at the school office. 

For all methods of payments, please include your name, email, student's name, teacher, and classroom. Please also leave a comment or note stating "PTO Membership".

Run Club

DAILY 8:30AM-8:50AM | FIELD

Our Run Club program begins Wednesday, Sept 6! This program is free to join, requires no sign up and meets daily. Students can be dropped off on the Melbourne Dr. side of campus for some morning run fun! Run Club is run by parent volunteers and help is always welcome. Laps are recorded and reported monthly, and prizes are awarded at the end of the year!

SAGE Garden Program

Funded by the SAGE Garden Project and sponsored by Juarez PTO, Chef Kyle our Garden & Cooking Educator, engages all students in fun and enriching lessons on gardening, cooking, and healthy eating habits. Join our partner, Mission Federal Credit Union before school on the 1st Monday of the month to participate in their student savings program. Students can deposit cash or coin and accounts with balances up to $500 earn 5% APY until July 1 after your child's 13th birthday. Students who make deposits earn a small prize to encourage good financial habits.

Read-A-Thon Fundraiser

MON. SEPT. 18- SUN. OCT. 1 | ONLINE

Support our students with our biggest fundraiser of the Fall semester! Read-A-Thon brings together student reading session with fundraising and classroom community readers sharing their love of literature with our kids. This year our GOAL is $8000 to fund our very own Bulldog Bookworm Book Vending Machine, reading nook, & books! The book vending machine is token operated and will serve as an incentive that teachers can use to reward growth and excellence in academics, citizenship, and leadership!

SD Wave Soccer Game

SUNDAY, OCT 15 | SNAPDRAGON 2:00PM

Enjoy local women's sports and catch the Wave at Snapdragon Stadium with all your Bulldog Friends! SD Wave FC will play Racing Louisville FC. Match begins at 2PM. Thank you to all our families who purchased tickets, we'll see you at the game!

$3 from every ticket purchased is donated to Juarez PTO. Parking fees are an additional cost.

Juarez Cali BBQ Lunch

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 17 | CAMPUS

Join Juarez Elementary for a SDUSD Cafeteria/Food Services event, Cali Q where families are invited to join their student for lunch and recess. Families can purchase a meal and can share lunch in the playground area. After lunch, families are invited to enjoy recess with their student. The Cali Q will include grilled hamburgers or hot dogs, a salad bar, and a frozen treat. Students eat free, adults and non students are $5.00. Water and cookies will also be available for sale. CASH ONLY!

Costume Parade

TUESDAY, OCTOBER 31| 9:30AM-10:30AM

Join our students and staff as they dress up and parade on the Blacktop. All families are invited to attend. Please no face masks for students or families, no play weapons of any kind, or gory or inappropriate costumes or accessories. Students are welcome to stay in costume for the day or change immediately after the Parade.

Goodie bags filled with non-food favors will be provided to all students courtesy of Juarez PTO.

Dia de los Muertos Celebration

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 3 | 4:30PM- 6:30PM

Juarez families are invited to a collaborative event between Taft Middle School & Juarez Elementary on Friday, Nov. 3 as we celebrate Dia de los Muertos and those we love who have gone before us. This event will be held at Taft Middle School.

Join us for a student exposition to learn about this popular Hispanic holiday and participate in crafts and games. Food, snacks, and drinks will be available for sale. 100% of food sales benefit Taft PTO & Juarez PTO, helping to fund the numerous events we hold for our students and families.

Juarez Food Drive

MON. OCT. 30- THURS. NOV. 9 | CAMPUS

Support Juarez PTO annual Food Drive as we partner with Juarez Primetime to collect food to benefit neighborhood residents! Collected food will be donated to Serra Mesa Food Pantry, our neighbor across the street. We will be accepting nonperishable items, including pasta, sauces, rice and grains, and canned foods. Donations can be dropped off in classrooms or at Primetime program.  If you are in need, visit Serra Mesa Food Pantry.

Join Juarez teachers, staff and parent volunteers for an interactive Family Meal Night as they cook and serve you dinner! Holiday Shop

DECEMBER 1- DECEMBER 8 | ON CAMPUS

Juarez PTO invites all our students to the Holiday Shop! Our Holiday Shop is a place our kids can purchase affordable gifts for their family and friends all on their own. Shopping occurs during school hours and is not open to parents. 

Gifts are between $1.00-$5.00 and are available for mom, dad, grandparents, aunts and uncles, babies, teachers, pets, and friends! The Holiday Shop is 100% funded and run by Juarez PTO so all purchases go right back into the school! Every year this event brings out a lot of excitement with our kids and lots of help is needed!

SD Gulls Hockey Family Fun Day: Ticket Sales

FRIDAY, JANUARY 5 | LAWN 8:30-9:00AM

Purchase your tickets to our next Family Fun Day and meet the Gulls mascot Gulliver on the lawn during ticket sales Friday, Jan. 5 from 8:30-9:30AM!

Can't make it in person? Tickets can be purchased via PayPal HERE. Tickets are on sale through January 31, please leave a NOTE "SD Gulls Tickets". 

Game Information: Enjoy a hockey game with Juarez PTO! Join us Saturday, February 17 for STAR WARS night as the SD Gulls take on the Henderson Silver Knights! Game begins at 6PM but come early to enjoy the Gulls Pregame Tailgate featuring lots of Star Wars fun. Themed clothing encouraged! Tickets are only $35.00 with seating based on group size. Only 65 tickets left, Lower-Level Section 20-22. Ticket deadline is Wednesday, January 31 or when sold out!

PTO will be managing ticket sales and will be selling on the lawn before EVERY Family Friday through January.

$2 from every ticket purchased is donated to Juarez PTO. Parking fees are an additional cost. AXS app must be downloaded prior to purchase to receive tickets. Sale dates subject to cancellation, according to availability. If (50) tickets are sold, Juarez students may have the opportunity to participate in a High Five tunnel with Gulls players.

Family Meal: The Pizza Standard

JANUARY 17 & JANUARY 18 | 4:00PM-8:00PM

Bring your family & friends to our January Family Meal Days! Join us at The Pizza Standard (10462 Clairemont Mesa Blvd 92124) for a (2) day meal event. 

Call ahead or online ordering are the preferred methods for this small business. Order online either January 17 or 18 for pick up between 4-8PM and 20% of your purchase comes back to Juarez PTO. In the "SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS" field enter "JUAREZ ELEMENTARY MEAL NIGHT". Order online HERE. 

Families are also welcome to order in restaurant, wait times will vary. Show the flyer and proceeds from each sale will come back to PTO!

Did you know Copy Paper is the #1 used and requested item on campus? Join Juarez PTO as the stock the shelves and fill our classrooms with paper. Reams and boxes of white paper are appreciated. Paper can be dropped off in your child's classroom.

Treat Day: Cookies for Kindness

Join Juarez PTO for a sweet treat during Kindness Week! Our very own Juarez teacher and small-business owner of Kookies Now/Kookies by Nikki, Ms. Nikki Johnson, will be selling her homemade cookies during our Cookies for Kindness Treat Day fundraiser after school on the lawn Tuesday, Jan. 23 from 3:30-4:15PM. Only $2.00 per cookie. CASH ONLY. 

100% of proceeds will be used towards the purchase of children’s books and resources based on kindness, positive friendship building, and anti-bullying. 

Featured Cookie Flavors: Chocolate Chip, Strawberry Crunch, Sprinkley Sugar, & Chocolate Brownie. All cookies are nut free.

Party hearty with your family and friends at Juarez PTO's Valentine Dance! All Juarez families are invited to dance the night away as the DJ spins hits from today and from back in the day! We encourage all students and families to dress to impress.

Admission is FREE for Juarez students and teachers/staff. $2.00 admission for all adults and non-student children. FREE admission for any adult following Juarez Elementary PTO on Facebook @JuarezElementaryPTO. Must show proof at the door.

Bulldog Fun Run 

WEDNESDAY, MARCH 6 | FIELD 9:30-12:30PM

All students are invited to participate in our largest fundraiser of the Spring semester, our Bulldog Fun Run. Last year we raised over $13K and this year our goal is $15K! 

Students will run as many laps as able during their 30-minute time slots. Students are encouraged to wear Juarez spirit shirts, hats or anything green to get into the spirit! PTO will sponsor healthy snacks for students to enjoy post run. Families are invited to cheer on students, dress in fun costumes, and make signs!

Benito Juarez Day Celebration Planning

THURSDAY, MARCH 14 | ZOOM 6:30-7:10PM

Parents are invited to collaborate with PTO to prepare & execute ideas for the Benito Juarez Day Celebration. Committee members will commit to help promote the event and help on the day of the celebration, Wednesday, April 17.

This will be the final Open planning meeting. Future sessions will be for Committee members only.

Committee planning sessions will be online via ZOOM. Login information will be available on Class Dojo or via PeachJar email closer to the planning sessions.

Yearbook Photo Submission Deadline

Our Juarez Elementary yearbook is something our students and families look forward to receiving every year! Help us fill our yearbook with photos by submitting pictures of your student and/or family at any in-school activity, after school event or family meal or fun day! Photos of class specific events are especially needed (ex. wax museums or classroom parties and celebrations)!

Submit all good quality pictures to juarezelementarypto@gmail.com. All photos must be sent as "Actual Size" images to be considered for the yearbook.

PTO cannot use all submitted photos. Photos will be selected by need, quality and what best fits yearbook page layouts. Images should include only Juarez students and families, please do not submit photos from non-school or non-PTO sponsored events.

Yearbook Sales

Hold onto your little one's memories of the 2023-2024 school year with a Juarez Elementary yearbook purchase. Our book is proudly put together by PTO parent volunteers with a cover designed by one of our talented 5th graders. A portion of every yearbook sale comes directly back to Juarez PTO. Only 120 copies are reserved. Order online at Jostens School Annual today or complete the form and submit to the office with cash or check payment.

Checks are made payable to "Juarez Elementary PTO". Yearbooks will be delivered to campus and will be distributed by late May. Name plates or other add-ons will be shipped home.

Our Benito Juarez Day Celebration is almost here, and PTO will be offering ticket presales for families to lessen lines at the event! Presales will happen Wednesday April 10, Friday April 12, & Monday April 15 on the Lawn before and after school. Tickets will also be available before the event starts on Wednesday April 17.

Tickets are $.50 each with games, food, and drinks costing between 2-20 tickets.

Art to Remember Fundraiser Final Deadline

Our annual art fundraiser is here, and students have created beautiful pieces of one-of-a-kind art! Families can purchase their student's art in the form of keepsakes.  Keepsakes include office supplies and stationery, mugs, canvases, household goods plus over 60+ other customized items featuring your little one's art. Items are great for Mother's or Father's Day, birthdays, gifts for the holidays or any occasion! Plus 33% of your purchase comes back to Juarez PTO benefiting our students and staff.

Summer Send Off Family Picnic

Join Juarez PTO for a family picnic to celebrate another successful school year! Families are welcome to join their student on the field for a food, snacks, and drinks sponsored by PTO. Canopies, chairs, and blankets are encouraged for seating. Families must check into the office prior to coming on campus. Water balloons and water toys will be provided by PTO. Please wear clothing and shoes appropriate for water play.

Students may also pick up preordered yearbooks at the event. All yearbooks not picked up at this event will be distributed to classrooms during scheduled drop off times based on volunteer availability.
