Paleta Sales

FRIDAY, MAY 2 | LAWN 3:30PM-4PM

Come CHILL at our after-school teacher led fundraiser! Sra. Baltazar-Gonzales will be selling paletas with 100% of funds raised going towards a paleta cart to be used at Benito Juarez Day, Summer Send Off, & other family events where paletas are sold!

Paletas are only $2.00 each. CASH ONLY. Flavors will vary.

Paleta sales will occur every Friday for the remainder of the school year, except on May 9. Sales will occur after school on the front lawn with the exception of paleta sales during Summer Send Off which will occur on the field.

Join our 5th grade class as they serve breakfast with a smile to Juarez families and friends! Tickets for our Bulldog Breakfast are only $15.00 and includes pancakes, eggs, sausage and your choice of juice or coffee. 

$9.00 of every ticket comes right back to Juarez PTO to support our 5th grade classes for promotion activities & their end of year field trip! Let your family, friends, and neighbors know, our event is open to the community!

Summer Send Off Family Picnic

FRIDAY, MAY 23 | FIELD 2:00PM- 3:30PM

Join Juarez PTO for a family picnic to celebrate another successful school year! Families are welcome to join their student on the field for a food, snacks, and drinks sponsored by PTO. Canopies, chairs, and blankets are encouraged for seating. Families must check into the office prior to coming on campus. Water balloons and water toys will be provided by PTO. Please have students wear clothing and shoes appropriate for water play.

Students may also pick up preordered yearbooks at the event. All yearbooks not picked up at this event will be distributed to classrooms the final week of school. Limited extra yearbooks are available for $25.00. Books will be sold at the picnic first come, first serve.

Sra. Baltazar-Gonzales will also be selling paletas on the field for $2.00 each. CASH ONLY.

Join Juarez PTO for our monthly meeting to discuss school updates, upcoming events and volunteer opportunities. For ZOOM meeting information please check the Class Dojo app or PeachJar emails. To ensure meetings stay safe, those joining via ZOOM are subject to verification that their child attends Juarez or that they are affiliated with our school.

Scheduled Meetings: Sept 5, Oct 5, Nov 7, Dec 5, Jan 9, Feb 6, Mar 6, Apr 10, May 1, & May 22.

Meetings are the 1st Thursday of the month with the exception of January, April, and May due to breaks and year end dates.

Run Club

Our Run Club program is on hiatus! We are in need of a Run Club Coordinator to start Run Club back up! Interested in volunteering? Contact PTO HERE to volunteer!

This program is free to join, requires no sign up and meets daily. Students can be dropped off on the Melbourne Dr. side of campus for some morning run fun! Run Club is run by parent volunteers and help is always welcome. Laps are recorded and reported monthly, and prizes are awarded at the end of the year!

Family Friday

Concessions of popcorn, hot dogs, nachos, candy, & drinks will be sold with 100% of concession sales benefiting our students & staff! Costume Parade

Join our students and staff on Thursday, October 31 from 9:30-10:30AM as they dress up and parade on the blacktop. All families are invited to attend. Please no face masks for students or families, no play weapons of any kind, or gory or inappropriate costumes or accessories. Students are welcome to stay in costume for the day or change immediately after the Parade.

Goodie bags filled with non-food favors will be provided to all students courtesy of Juarez PTO.

Dia de los Muertos Celebration

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1 | CAMPUS 5-8PM

Juarez families are invited to a collaborative event between Juarez PTO & Juarez Elementary on Friday, November 1 as we celebrate Dia de los Muertos and those we love who have gone before us.

Join us in the auditorium from 5:00-6:30PM for a student exposition to learn about this popular Hispanic holiday and participate in crafts and games. Food and drinks will be available for sale from Family Tacos with 15% donated back to Juarez PTO, helping to fund the numerous events we hold for our students and families. Plus purchase a Dia de Los Muertos cookie to decorate. 100% of sales will be donated to PTO. Also enjoy a cultural performance from SDSCPA MECHA Folclorico Group!

Then join us from 6:30-8:00PM for a free viewing of Disney's Coco (PG) in the lunch court. Concessions of sweets and drinks will be available for sales during the movie. Families must bring their own seating.

Salute To Service Veterans Day Breakfast

Juarez PTO would like to take time this year to honor our Juarez parents, families, and those we work closely with in the community who are either Veterans or active-duty service members with a Salute to Service Breakfast on Friday, November 8 from 9:00-10:30AM.

We understand family members may be on tour or abroad, so we welcome military spouses etc. as we know the whole family serves. Students from military households are encouraged to attend and prepare letters, drawings, or share photos of their loved ones.

Juarez SMFP Food Drive

MON. NOV 4- THURS. NOV 15 | CAMPUS

Support Juarez PTO's Annual Food Drive November 4-November 15 as we partner with Juarez Primetime to collect food to benefit neighborhood residents! Collected food will be donated to the Serra Mesa Food Pantry, our neighbor across the street. We will be accepting nonperishable and nonexpired food including pasta, sauces, rice and grains, and canned foods. Donations can be dropped off in classrooms, the office, or at Primetime. If you are in need of food services, please visit Serra Mesa Food Pantry.

Our menu the year is Chef Kyle's Bolognese sauce & spaghetti, garden salad with homemade dressing, Italian bread and garden infused water.

This meal will be cooked by Chef Kyle and Garden Program volunteers and prepared by Juarez students. 100% of donations benefit SAGE Garden Program.

Adopt-A-Family Drive

Juarez PTO is committed to giving back to our families and community! Annually PTO puts on our Adopt-A-Family program where one or more Juarez families are provided gifts to make their spirits bright. Our donation drive will be held December 2-13. This drive is not shared through normal public PTO communication channels due to its sensitive nature however PTO members are invited to participate in the donation drive to benefit the family in need. 

Email Juarez PTO to share your interest in donating to this great cause & Happy Holidays or donate via Venmo or PayPal and PTO will shop our families in need for you! If donating online please leave a NOTE "Adopt-A-Family".

Nominations & the family's identity is anonymous during the entirety of the program. Only family wish lists are collected and shared providing donors their interests and favorites.

Fun Run Fundraising

Juarez Bulldog Fun Run

All students are invited to participate in our largest fundraiser of the Spring semester, our Bulldog Fun Run. Last year we raised over $21K and this year our goal is $15K! 

Students will run as many laps as able during their 30-minute time slots. Students are encouraged to wear Juarez spirit shirts, hats or anything green to get into the spirit! PTO will sponsor healthy snacks for students to enjoy post run. Families are invited to cheer on students, dress in fun costumes, and make signs!

All families are invited to attend our McTeacher's Meal Night at the Aero McDonald's (9871 Aero Drive 92123) from 4-7PM on Thursday, April 24! 20% of food sales from all customers during the time frame come back to Juarez PTO, no flyer needed! Valid for dine-in or drive thru.

Teachers and volunteers will also be selling apple pies and 100% of pie sales come back to our 5th grade class for promotion activities! Pies sales and teacher tips are CASH ONLY!

Family Fun Night: Bowling With Bros

Enjoy a night of bowling with Bulldog Bros & Juarez PTO! Join us Saturday, April 26 at Aztec Lanes on the campus of SDSU! Tickets are only $25.00 each and include 2-hours of bowling, shoe rental, and free table games including pool, table tennis, and air hockey. Dinner of pizza, a drink, chips and a box of candy OR cookie will be included with every ticket. 25% of every ticket sold will be donated back to Juarez PTO. Event runs 5-7PM.
